AMEN!

The self-employed line is especially crucial now more then ever with stated income loans virtually gone. There are only a few players left that will allow stated income but the LTV's are all under 75%.

I could not agree with you more on this subject. I have so many people on the fence waiting to see what happens in the financial mess. I tell them all the time regardless of the outcome the market will plow foreword and the world will continue to operate. Now the interesting thing I am waiting to see, is if the Government will help stimulate the inventory by loosening the current Fannie/Freddie guidelines.

Jay,

What a timely post! While these memories are difficult to relive, it's important to never forget this part of America's history. Honoring the memory of those who died in this tragic event is very important to avoiding future attacks and to the healing process of those who lost loved ones and friends that horrible day.

As for our family, we were actually flying from Raleigh on our way to Grand Cayman for a family vacation. When we arrived in Atlanta we noticed many passengers gathered around TV screens in restaurants and someone in the crowd mentioned that a small plane had crashed into the World Trade Tower in NYC. Thinking nothing of it, we made our way to our International departure gate. When we arrived at our departure gate on the International course we gathered at another restaurant to watch in horror as the second plane crashed into the second tower. I was sickened and shaken to the core at such a ruthless act. I was literally sick to my stomach.

Immediately we went to our departure gate to hear the announcement that all flights had been temporarily grounded and that we were on an ATC ground halt delay. Knowing that the FAA would not allow another aircraft to land or takeoff, I tried to surmise what the next steps would be for my family. Next came an announcement that the airport was to be immediately vacated. With nothing but the clothing on our backs, we decided we would need some essential elements until we could get back to our home. It was evident we would not be going on our family vacation.

Taking the MARTA (Atlanta's light rail), we made our way to a shopping mall on the north side of town to purchase some clothes and toiletries. After making some quick purchases, we were told the mall was closing immediately (all large facilities were closing for fear of additional terrorist acts). With all rental cars reserved, we had no alternative accept to call some local friends to ask for a place to stay to figure out our next step in getting from Atlanta back to Raleigh. The next day, (flights were still grounded), my future daughter-in-law's father drove from Raleigh to Atlanta to pick us up.

As you can readily see, these memories will forever be etched into my mind. Unfortunately, we are prone to easily forget the loss we experienced on this terrible day. Honoring their memory and remembering these events so we may remain vigilant against future attacks is a must.

You know, when Starbucks came out with their new breakfast items, I didn't know how I felt about 'em. But now that I've tried them, I have to say..."not bad...not bad at all!"

My favorite coffee place? Starbucks or Coffee Bean will do just fine. So long as I have wifi. :-P
