Long Beach Homes and More Property Taxes Each Year?

The Long Beach City Council is considering a Parcel Tax that would charge each parcel owner and Long Beach home owner an extra $120 per year.

Investors, Income Property Owners and Renters: Listen Up

If you are an investor of income property, the number, you are assessed $120 per unit.  Yikes!!!  All of the residents of Long Beach should run not walk to to the City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 22nd at 5:00 pm to voice their opposition against this purposed Novemeber 2008 No Parcel Tax in Long Beach CAballot measure.  If you are renting a property, vote against this measure.  No one wants to see their monthly rent go up either…

Who wants to pay more taxes? No one I know.  Share this information with everyone you know in the city of Long Beach.  Mark your calendars for  this Tuesday, July 22nd at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall.

Property Taxes and Mello Roos

Published by Jay Valento under Mello Roos, Property Taxes

Many people ask us about Property Taxes in Long Beach, California…they are going to be about 1.25% of the purchase price unless it is a newer home development.

Then, the Property Tax tends to be higher, if that development was assessed with a tax called Mello-Roos. This extra property tax for newer home developments goes for infrastructure, schools, etc. How much? Well it varies. When you find a Long Beach home that you like and it has a mello-roos tax associated with it, we will check with the listing agent and other sources to attempt to find out what percentage it is. I just like to cover topics like this ahead of time so you know more about it instead of it being a surpize at some point. Not all new home developments in Long Beach have this tax added.
